Clothes in Display, According To Religious Background
While the mannequin industry struggles in a low economy country like Egypt, the workers of this field suffer of the challenge with the Chinese products that attacked the Egyptian market. At the same time the Egyptian government imposes taxes for the imported raw material that is used in the mannequin industry.
As an Islamic community, still many Egyptians believe that the photography and sculpturing statues is not allowed (Haram) in Islam. There are a lot of clothes shops in Egypt that don’t display their clothes on mannequins, or on headless mannequins, or a head that is cut from above the nose, as they believe that showing eyes that made by human is Haram.
